So Many Projects. Reflow Round Up - Websites

10 Aug 2015

Reflow Studio has been busy over the last few months.  So busy that we have developed a backlog of websites that we want to shout about.  Never wanting to be pigeon holed we've lately been developing websites for wholesale food suppliers, diamond sellers, mountain footwear makers, residential care home providers, recruitment consultants and backpack manufacturers.

More detail to follow undoubtably but here's the round up:

Heathcotes Group

The Heathcotes Group provides residential care for adults with over 200 bespoke placements across 32 specialist services in the UK.

This responsive website had to be made to give users with learning difficulties an easy navigation experience whilst still giving professional care workers access to important search and service information.  Each service can be searched for by speciality or by geographical area to get users to the service that is going to be most appropriate for their needs.

Avanti Fine Diamonds

Established in 1982 by Alan and David Matkin Avanti Fine Diamonds is a family managed business operating on the edge of the Peak District providing outstanding jewellery service, quality and design.

The Avanti Fine Diamonds website has over 100,000 certified diamonds to choose from at any one time.  When you combine this with mount data, metal type, clarity and colour grading, ring size and price there are potentially tens of thousands of product variations for what is from the point of view of a consumer a single product.

Building your ‘single product’ and making changes means the website has to quickly access large databases and return changes to the front end in a rapid and visually great way.

Italian mountain footwear manufacturer Scarpa have been producing boots for over 60 years and are one of the leading outdoor footwear brands in the UK.

The Scarpa eCommerce website needed to do more than simply sell product.  Inspiring users regarding the Scarpa brand was the first order of the day along with getting them information on UK stockists.

With a huge amount of technology invested in nearly every single product, Scarpa product pages need to deal with an above average amount of information.  Internal page navigation and centralised content was therefore used to feed information to multiple products to reduce repetitive content editing and help users to find what they were looking for.

Holdsworth Foods

Holdsworth supply chilled, ambient and frozen goods to caterers.  Over 46 years they have grown to be one of the leading independent food service distributers in the UK.

With complex filters to ensure that dietary requirements are met the Holdsworth Food website offers a huge variety of product.  Key for the site was getting across a vast product range (without having to descend deep into the site), distribution network, value for money and reliable delivery service.

Deuter GB

Deuter is a German manufacturer of rucksacks that has been in existence for over 100 years with a solid reputation for cutting edge technology and excellent product durability.

As with the Scarpa website the Deuter GB site needed to get across the core qualities of Deuter product, promoting the brand and helping users to find stockists.  Filters help users to easily find the pack to suit them. Product pages had to cater for a large amount of technical information and show animated versions of Deuter’s back systems which are the key area of technical interest for their bags.

Syntax Consultancy

Syntax Consultancy specialises in technology and engineering recruitment.

This new responsive website had to maintain the existing Syntax Consultancy design look and feel, staying on message, whilst at the same time feeling like and evolution of the brand. With a bespoke front end design we integrated the website with a third party job supplier to produce a website that updates itself automatically with the latest and most appropriate jobs for Syntax's target audience.
